Depart your nearest airport flight to Manchester. |
| DAY 2 |
Arrive Manchester, where you will be met by your tour guide, Gerry Russell, and transfer to the Mill Hotel in Chester (2 nights). Afternoon free to rest and relax or go for a walk
through the ancient streets of Chester. Evening dinner at hotel (included). |
| DAY 3 |
After breakfast at the hotel (included), we will discover a world where the 20th Roman Legion, conquerors of the warrior Queen Boadicea, built Fortress Deva to repel Welsh tribes;
where bloodthirsty Hugh the Wolf, nephew of William the Conqueror, built a stronghold and Cromwells troops and Royalist forces clashed. Evening dinner at the hotel (included). |
| DAY 4 |
After breakfast at the hotel (included), we head for Wales, stopping first at Bodewyddan Castle and Gardens, with its beautifully furnished rooms and exhibits from national
collections. After this interesting introduction to Wales, we head for Llandudno for a visit to the great Orme Country Park for some of the finest scenery in north Wales and a visit to the great Orme
mines, a bronze age mining center where we explore the internationally acclaimed discovery from the dawn of historyan inspirationan education. After this we transfer to our hotel for our
stay in Wales, the Marlboroi4i Hotel, Llandudno. Dinner at hotel (included). |
| DAY 5 |
After breakfast at the hotel (included), we depart for a visit to the classic walled town of Conwy and Conwy Castle, incomparably the most magnificent of Edward ls Welsh
fortresses. No visit to Conwy is complete without a visit to the worlds smallest house and the teapot museum. We will also visit Plas Maw and have lunch (included) at the Groes Inn, the first
licensed house In Wales in 1573. We include plenty of free time to explore Conwkys many interesting shops before returning to our hotel for dinner (included). After dinner we will attend an
allmale Welsh choir concert. |
| DAY 6 |
After another good Welsh breakfast, we head for the beautiful isle of Anglesey. visiting Beaumaris Castle, the most technically perfect castle in Britain. We then take a scenic drive
around Angelesey before heading to Caernarfon Castle. Caernarfon was constructed not only as a military stronghold but also as a seat of government where the first Prince of Wales was born in 1284
and where the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales took place. Dinner at hotel (included). |
| DAY 7 |
After breakfast at hotel (included), we leave for a day of discovering and enjoying the beauty of the Snowdonia National Park, including a ride on a narrow gauge railway to see
spectacular mountain scenery. We also visit an old working weaving mill and other beautiful sites in Snowdonia, including the spectacular Bodant Gardens. Dinner at hotel (included). |
| DAY 8 |
Free day to relax and explore Llandudno or perhaps take a day trip to Dublin, Ireland (not Included). Dinner at the hotel (included).

Transfer to Manchester airport for return flight home. Or stay a few extra days for side trip to Wedgewood, Oxford and London.
