2006 English Pub & Countryside Tour

 DAY 1 Depart from the nearest international airport, via Virgin Atlantic to London, Gatwick
 DAY 2 Arrive Gatwick, where coach will take you to Hever Castle, ancestral home of Ann Bollyn, stopping for Pub lunch (included). Then on to Chartwell, Winston Churchill's home. Next we go to The Old Ship Hotel at Brighton (history can be traced back to 1559 and is today a top class hotel with all modern conveniences). Rest of afternoon free to rest or explore Brighton. Dinner at hotel (included). After dinner, explore the local pubs in The Lanes, the old historic heart of Brighton.
 DAY 3 Breakfast at hotel (included). Visit Royal Pavilion, without doubt the most fabulous palace in Europe. Life in Brighton centered around it in Regency times. Return to hotel and board coach to Plumpton Race Course for an afternoon of steeplechase racing at this friendly little Sussex course where your guide rode in a number of races many years ago. Dinner at hotel (included). After dinner visit to local pub.
 DAY 4 Breakfast at hotel (included). Then to Portsmouth, where we dock for tour of H.M.S. Victory, Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. Pub lunch (included). At Salisbury we visit Salisbury Cathedral, one of England's grandest, with the tallest spire in England. Evening is spent at Milford Hall Hotel This family run hotel is a favorite of Margaret Thatcher. Set in the heart of Salisbury it uniquely combines Georgian elegance with every modern amenity. Dinner at hotel (included).
 DAY 5 Breakfast at hotel (included). Visit to Stonehenge. Lunch at Shoulder of Mutton, an historic 14th century thatched roof country inn (included). We see Windsor Castle, Queen Elizabeth’s favorite residence. Board coach for short trip to Lesmoyne Hotel Fleet, a top class hotel set in its own beautiful grounds. Dinner at The Old Anchor Inn (included). And, a chance to play darts and skittles matches with the locals for those who desire.
 DAY 6 Breakfast at hotel (included). Board coach for trip to Blenhiem Castle, ancestral home of the Churchills, stopping for a bub lunch on the way. Then on to St. Albans for visits to St. Albans Abbey and oldest Roman ruins in England. Lunch at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, England’s oldest inhabited pub (included). Time for shopping in St. Albans before boarding coach for trip.  Dinner at hotel (included).
 DAY 7 Breakfast at hotel (included). Tour of London. Dinner (included) at a local restaurant.
 DAY 8 Breakfast at hotel (included). A free day for explore London , or perhaps do some shopping and dinner at a local restaurant (included), evening free to check out local pubs, or take in a West End Show.
 DAY 9 Breakfast at hotel (included). Depart for airport and return flight home.
